Keep Your Lawns Looking Their Best

Well kept and maintained lawns and gardens should be a priority for home owners and businesses alike.

That's the opinion of Avenue Lawn and Gardens owners Kevin Blacka and Tony Cook, who say the look of a property outside usually reflects how it looks inside.

``As far as I'm concerned if the lawn is nice and tidy and the garden is well manicured, the property as a whole looks much better," Mr Cook said.

``It's especially important for businesses to ensure this is the case because the lawn is the first thing potential customers see.

``First impressions go a long way so it's important that business owners take proper care of their yards."

Services offered by the company, established three years ago, included lawn mowing, garden maintenance, garden landscaping and renovation as well as plant selection and advice.

Mr Cook, who has 13 years industry experience, is also a qualified horticulturalist and is a member of the Australian Institute of Horticulture.

Mr Blacka said that while domestic work was the company's bread and butter, it completed a lot of work for small businesses and shopping centres.

``We also take care of the lawn and garden maintenance for three McDonald's restaurants in the area," he said.

``We do everything from setting up irrigation systems to planting plants and completing a full renovation of existing gardens."

Avenue Lawn and Gardens can complete jobs from Thirroul to Kiama.
