THE MERCURY IN 1975

A 32-year-old Revesby man mowed down the opposition to win the Wollongong Fun Run. Lawn mowing contractor Dick Robinson beat Dave Power and Mark Everton over the 12km distance.

FAST FACTS

1966 - Three years of bitter and brutal warfare between Malaysia and Indonesia came to an end when the countries agreed to end the conflict. The cease-fire was a bitter blow for Indonesia's President Sukarno.
